Templates are a way to take advantage of reoccurring patterns in your scheduling. For example, if you have a “typical schedule” for a particular day of the week, you can build a template that allows you to quickly build a schedule for that day. A template is a particular collection of shifts, where each shift has a position and a time-slot.
Starting with a blank day:
Use the following steps:
- Navigate to the blank day that you want to schedule.
- Add the shifts for that day using either Draw Mode or via the quick add feature. The buttons for both of these options are on the far left of the scheduling page.
- Once you have built the schedule for the day, click the “New Template” button in the footer of the scheduling page.
- Select the departments/positions that you want to include in the template.
- Give the template a name that makes sense to you, and a description that will help you make sense of your title.
Create a template from a day you’ve already built
Use the following steps:
- Navigate to the day you want to copy
- Click the “New Template” button
- Select the departments/positions that you want to include in the template.
- Give the template a name that makes sense to you, and a description that will help you make sense of your title.
